Description

A new version of Aliisza from the 'War of the spider queen' books.

pencil drawing, scanned and colored with airbrushes in Painter.

The background could use a good deal more work, the left foot/heel is flawed, and the wing and stomach is a bit flat but it will have to do.

Two things. It's blurry and it's monochromatic. Use some well-defined contour and use some colors - they way you do it, every color is sealed within its own area of same color; it must interact and be consistent in the whole picture. Volume definition is also incorrect, and composition needs work. Loomis, and practice, practice, practice...

You should also look at where you're light source is, highlighting everything can flatten a picture instead of giving it more depth.
